Seeking to create a dialogue between the visual and lyrical by exploring the interconnection of art and words, four poets and one musician have created written work, each a response to one of the five paintings in Roman Road’s current group exhibition when i was walking on the edge of a teacup.
By creating new poetry profoundly inspired by existing art, which is itself a response to the written word, these performances will throw an echo to highlight the familiarity of the human experience, still with a personal perspective.
