A transformative restructuring for Roman Road!

We are excited to announce that Roman Road, under the direction of its founder Marisa Bellani, has undergone transformative restructuring to respond to young artists’ needs for a new and viable support system.

Radically departing from the gallery model and moving on from our physical space, Roman Road today reinforces its core mission of fostering artistic development and supporting artists’ career growth through a two-pronged strategy: Roman Road Curation and Roman Road Studios.

Roman Road Curation is dedicated to the conception and production of exhibitions, either internally or in partnership with high profile organisations. Each exhibition will reflect Bellani’s distinct curatorial vision, informed by in-depth academic research on two key topics: the future of the world through utopia and dystopia, and the complexities of the human mind.

WE ARE THE FUTURE is the theme of our inaugural curatorial series and will feature a unique selection of artists born after 1980, kickstarting with a group show at Christie’s London titled WE ARE THE FUTURE: Knocking on Heaven’s Door (1-14 February 2024), followed by a solo exhibition by artist Channatip Chanvipava curated for the vernissage week of the 60th Venice Biennale 2024 (17-24 April 2024).

Roman Road Studios is a programme that aims to unearth talent, root artists in the community and foster experimental freedom and artistic autonomy through mentorship, workshops and residencies.
